Black History Month is not just a celebration; it’s a reminder. A reminder that history’s fuller truth comes into focus only when we choose to see everyone in it. Too often, the contributions, brilliance, and resilience of people who have lived on the margins are overlooked or forgotten. This month challenges us to bring those stories to the forefront on purpose, to honor voices that might otherwise be lost, and to recognize that our collective history is richer and more accurate when everyone is seen. Remembering is an act of respect, and inclusion requires intention.
